Isabelle is the founder of Chromisa Scientific, a consultancy company based in Belgium. She supports academia as well as industry with demanding extraction, chromatography, purification and project management challenges, offering customization, training and support.
Isabelle holds a PhD in analytical chemistry (acquired in the group of Pat Sandra), and has been working with analytical and CO2 technologies since more than 15 years across many industries (during her PhD as well as during her career at Waters and through collaborations with Thar Process and De Dietrich). Next to her expertise in the domain of supercritical fluids, she is also considered as a subject matter expert for two-dimensional fluid based technologies. Isabelle has been awarded numerous times in the Powerlists of the magazine “The Analytical Scientist” eg as one of the most influential female scientists in the world in 2016. Isabelle is still closely connected to the scientific community, contributing to cutting-edge research as well as publishing and reviewing articles on a regular basis, and she is often invited as a speaker at scientific conferences.

Koen Sandra received a PhD degree in Biochemistry from the Ghent University, Belgium in 2005. After his PhD, he joined Pronota, a molecular diagnostics company where he was active in developing analytical platforms for disease biomarker discovery and in setting up external collaborations. In 2008, he joined RIC, a company that provides analytical support to the chemical, life sciences and pharmaceutical industries, where he holds the position of CEO. As a non-academic scientist, Koen Sandra is author of over 50 highly cited scientific papers and has presented his work at numerous conferences as an invited speaker.
Tony Edge

Dr. Tony Edge has been working in the field of chromatography for more than 30 years. During that time he has worked at different organisations including AstraZeneca where he developed methods for bioanalytical workflows and also in the manufacturing arena working for ThermoScientfic, Agilent and Avantor where he headed R&D teams developing next generation separation and extraction media. He was awarded the Desty Memorial Lecture in 2004 for his contributions to innovating separation science, and in the same year also won a clinical excellence award. Edge’s current interests are centered on improving the extraction process and high-temperature chromatography.

Dr. Gesa Johanna Schad
Dr. Schad is an analytical chemist with a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Strathclyde (UK). She also holds a Diploma in Chemical Engineering and an MSc in Pharmaceutical Analysis. After roles in HPLC method development at the IAEA in Vienna and R&D at Hichrom Ltd. in the UK, she joined Shimadzu Europa in Germany and became HPLC Product Manager in 2015. She supports chromatography education through workshops, training courses, and a blog, and is co-author of SFC for Dummies. Her work focuses on product strategy, customer relations, and collaborative chromatographic solutions.
Adrian Clarke

Adrian Clarke is a Scientific Advisor in Analytics at Novartis Pharma (Basel, Switzerland). His main responsibilities are: driving scientific excellence, identifying strategic and operational and technological needs; Defining, developing and implementing innovative state of the art analytics and regulatory control strategies.
He has more than 30 years’ experience working in the Pharma industry and in recent years he has been actively involved in new modality and oligonucleotide projects.
His special interests are liquid phase separations & hyphenated techniques (Fast LC/UHPLC, 2D LC, SFC, MS), column characterisation, method development/AQbD, and also analytical control & regulatory strategies, including new modalities, oligonucleotides, peptides and mutagenic impurities.
Adrian has DPhil in Analytical Chemistry (Separation sciences) from the University of York, UK. He has authored multiple publications and book chapters, he is a committee member of the Chromatographic Society, UK, and been on the organising committee of several international conferences (ISC2024/26, PBA2024, HPLC2025) and more than 10 ChromSoc UK scientific meetings, and he is also on the editor advisory board of LC-GC International.
